The Journey

A Voice That Transcends

Born in Metairie, Louisiana, Bridget A. Bazile discovered her calling in the rich musical traditions of New Orleans. A graduate of Tulane University and the University of New Orleans, her extraordinary talent was recognized early — winning the prestigious Leontyne Price Competition and earning finalist honors at the Metropolitan Opera National Council in 1999.

Her artistry spans continents and genres. From the lyric roles of Purcell, Puccini, Mozart, Handel, Verdi, and Gershwin to the soaring spirituals that define her gospel performances, Bridget has graced the world's most revered stages — Carnegie Hall, Orchestra Hall in Chicago, the Kennedy Center, Alice Tully Hall, and the World Symposium in Sydney.

Now based in Lyon, France, Bridget continues to captivate audiences worldwide as the voice of Stars of Gospel. Her 2021 Grammy Award nomination for Best Gospel Performance Song affirmed what audiences have known for decades — this is a voice that moves the soul.

Bazile held the audience spellbound — her rendition of Amazing Grace silenced an entire concert hall, every breath suspended until the final note dissolved into silence.

Concert Review

A voice that soars to operatic heights and falls to a prayerful whisper in the same breath — utterly transcendent.

Music Critic

She carries the weight of gospel tradition and the precision of classical training with equal grace. A rare and extraordinary instrument.
